Jennie MakovecSince 1997, owners Colin King and Dean Vogel have walked side by side with the buyers of the homes they build to create houses the new homeowners will love, right down to the smallest details, thus building their reputation one satisfied customer at a time

Colin and Dean take their responsibility as homebuilders very seriously. They strive for perfection in every endeavor. Focused not only on the details of each new custom home, they work to develop a strong relationship with each of their clients, creating an environment where the client is respected and understood from start to finish.

Dean and Colin address not only personal taste in the homes they build, but also functionality. Attention to every detail allows K and V Homes to design and build homes that are truly unique. To obtain the best results, they encourage their clients to be involved and promise they will listen. Because they’ve built their own homes, they understand that the details that go into building a new home can be overwhelming and work to make their team of trades and vendors available for advice throughout the process.

The K&V Homes design for HomeShowExpo 2009 demonstrates one of the foundational principles of builders Colin King and Dean Vogel:  an open-minded approach.  Colin and Dean pride themselves on their ability to adapt – to listen to the client and turn that information into reality.

The two-story home they created at 9135 NW 72nd Circle does just that.  Not only is it a beautiful home, it’s a house designed to be lived in and enjoyed.  Features like the light-filled mudroom/breezeway between the garage and kitchen and a screened porch at the back of the house create a spacious feel with views of the woods and green space from almost every room.  And creative touches add to the home’s livability, from the walk-in pantry off the kitchen to the first-floor office with its separate file room and the custom built-ins throughout the house.

The front door opens onto a two-story entry, with a stairway and balcony reminiscent of traditional Colonial homes.  Upstairs, the roomy master suite features walk-in closets and a tile bath overlooking the pool area.  Two additional bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill bath.

K&V takes the time to find out not just what their clients like, but how they live.  For their HomeShow entry, they helped plan a home that offers almost year-round outdoor living.  The patio off the kitchen is accessible to both the screened porch and the pool, making summer entertaining easy.  And the fireplace in the screened porch allows the family to stretch their outdoor living further into the autumn months.  The home also boasts a wide front porch overlooking the cul-de-sac, perfect for lazy afternoons.

Because they focus on their clients’ tastes and interests, K&V is able to help each one design the home that suits their lifestyles.  And they have a 100% customer satisfaction rating as a result.

Excellence is at the core of everything K&V does.  Their years of experience and commitment to quality have laid the foundation for creativity and flexibility.  And it’s this combination that enables them to go beyond surface beauty in their projects.  They aren’t just project managers.  They’re your partners.

Don’t just build a gorgeous house.  Come home to a K&V Home.
