About the HBA

The Home Builders Association of Greater Des Moines is located at 6751 Corporate Drive, Johnston, Iowa 50131.

As a trade association with almost 700 business members, the Home Builders Association of Greater Des Moines is the leading voice for residential construction in the 5-county Des Moines Metropolitan area. For nearly 60 years the association has protected and promoted member interests and concerns and asks members to abide by a strong Code of Ethics.

The HBA of Greater Des Moines conducts numerous educational programs and seminars which help contractors further their professional development and provide consumers with the best product possible.

As home to the HomeShowExpo, Parade of Homes, Home & Product Expo and the Tour of Remodeled Homes, the association is involved in all aspects of residential construction -- from the refurbishing of existing homes to the latest construction methods that preserve natural resources.

The association also works with legislators in representing the best interests and concerns of the industry's work force.
